What kind of prints are available at DC Photography?
DC Phtography offers a variety of prints! Your photos are produced on premium-quality Kodak Supra Endura paper. Depending on the size of your enlargement, you can choose from 2 paper finishes: Luster and Metallic.
A selection of different print sizes are available to you.
Lustre Prints

Metallic Prints
With a glossy finish and unique metallic appearance, these prints have extra visual interest and depth. They are printed on long-lasting Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper.
This paper uses a proprietary combination of film laminate layers that produce striking, three-dimensional, lasting images on an ultra-bright background. The effect is sometimes described as “chrome on paper.”
You’ll see extreme sharpness, brightness, and colour saturation with an intense black density that increases its appeal. The proprietary laminate layers also increase the durability and tear resistance of the final print, increasing the opportunities for display applications.

Canvases
Fine Art Canvases are Gallery Wrapped on solid stretcher-frames with a 2” profile. These are available in a wide array of standard sizes, and come standard with sawtooth hangers and bumpers, ready for display. The unique solvent finish is resistant to moisture, fingerprints and other similar contaminants.
At your online gallery you can order canvases in sizes from 8"x12" to 40"x60"
Metal Prints
Metal prints are a unique medium for presenting images. The process involves infusing dye directly into a coated aluminum substrate. The end result is a vibrant impressive print with great detail and resolution. Our lab has developed a unique extruded aluminum frame, inset on the back, which allows for a modern way to hang and display these prints.
Metal prints from our lab are created with coated aluminum panels with a High Gloss white base that provides the brilliance of photographic paper and the added impact only a metal substrate can provide.
At your online gallery you can order metal prints in sizes from 16"x20" to 24"x36"
12'' x 12'' Premium Photo Book
Premium photo books are perfect for showcasing any special event. They are printed to the highest quality photographic paper. A laminated cover protects your most cherished moments. Feature your special memories in a premium photo book.
For your convenience, you can book a free in person consultation to discuss the images to be used on your album and the quantity of pages you want to select.
How DFC Photography ensures your prints will look right on different photo print sizes?
Depending on the choice you make for the printing size the aspect ratio of you images may change.
All your Digital images are presented on your gallery at the same aspect ratio they are shoot 3:2 (standard DSLR camera aspect ratio).
So, what is aspect ratio? The aspect ratio of an image describes the proportional relationship between its width and its height. It is commonly expressed as two numbers separated by a colon, as in 3:2. When you order a 8x10 print or any other size where the height and width is not a multiple of 3:2 your image will be cropped.
After you place your order DC Photography reviews your order to ensure all the crops look good and that you do not end up loosing an important part of your image. We do this carefully so you don't have to worry yourself. For example notice on the image above how a 8x10 will be cropped from a original 3:2 image, a portion of the image (in this case "left") is cropped out.
What is the turn around time for the Printed orders?
DC Photography turnaround times are shown below. Please note that delivery times are not guaranteed and do not include holidays or transit times.
Prints 1 – 3 days
Canvas 7 – 14 working days
Metal Prints 7 – 14 working days
Albums 30 – 35 working days
How much is shipping for my order?
Your orders are shipped directly to you. When you place orders on your image gallery, you have two shipping options. All shipping rates below are flat rates, meaning even if an order contains canvases or metal prints, the shipping cost to you does not increase for the order. There is no difference in the shipping price based on the delivery address ( Within Canada).
$ 7.90 CAD for Economy Shipping (2-8 days transit time) Prints, 8x12 and smaller, no tracking number.
$12.90 CAD for Standard (3-7 days transit time). Xpress Post Courier. $24.90 CAD for Express (1-2 days transit time). Xpress Post Courier.
NOTE: Canvases, Metal Prints and Albums are only available for pick up at our studio. No shipping cost for these items.

What is DC Photography printed policy and warranty?
Cancelling or changing an order:
Once we receive your order and is reviewed by us and forwarded to our lab for printing, the order can no longer be cancelled. So, ensure to review your order for accuracy before submitting it. If you need to cancel or make any changes to your order contact us immediately. If your order has not been sent to the lab, we are happy to help with your request.
Warranty
How DC Photography ensures your prints will look right on different photo print sizes?t guaranteed and do not include holidays or transit times.
Errors or damage to your order from the lab: Please contact us immediately so the order can be corrected or remade. When remakes are required we will only work from your original order.
Shipping Damage: : If you receive a shipment that appears damaged please do not refuse the shipment, but do a sign for the order as received damaged. Then as soon as possible inspect the shipment and contact us to get replacement items started. We will file the necessary claims with the shipping carrier. As shipping damage is out of our direct control orders will be replaced on an ASAP basis and shipped back using regular shipping methods.
